Welcome -- Why I created this website

The insightful quote above is my explanation of why I have created this website. I thought for a long time that I had an answer to share with you, a message to bring, a piece of wisdom to impart. Now I realize that was all just vanity and ego. Really, I just have a song to sing for you. Some of my song is literally in the form of songs. Some of it is books, short stories, art, and essays. Some of it is about what I have done. Some of it is about what I have seen. Some of it is about what I have thought. Some of my song is not even about me. And, I hope, much of it is just plain fun.

My wish is that you will find something of interest here, perhaps something that brightens your day or makes you stop and think for a moment, and that before you leave you will share some of your thoughts with me and anyone else that wanders by here. Remember that I do not expect to teach you anything here, but perhaps I may help you find a path to someplace that already exists within you.

I also really wanted to learn how to build a fun, interesting, and kick-ass website. And in the process of doing that, I hoped to make new friends, to have a lot of fun, and even, dare I say it...to possibly...some day...maybe...you know...make some money at it. (Gasp!) (He said it!) (He used the "M" word!) (He's going straight to Internet Hell!)
